Day 4: Things are getting better!

So, I am happy to say that things seem to be getting a bit easier every day! Yeah! I'm still dealing with the headaches, which is the hardest part. And, I still have the body aches and chills. But, they seem to come in waves now with periods of relief in between. I'm also tired after the treatments, but I've been able to get in some time to rest each day. But, the good news, is I don't feel like I am bedridden and I can get up and actually function... and be a mom! :)

I was SOOOO happy today... my treatment went smoothly and quickly (and they didn't even have to poke me 3 times to get the IV in like yesterday!). We were out of there in just over an hour! I can't tell you how much that boosted my spirits today. :) I am so happy tomorrow is my last day of treatment of the week... 3 more weeks to go! Fridays will be my long days because I have labs, wait for lab results, meet with Dr. Albertini, and then have my treatment. I will probably be there for at least 4 hours on Fridays.

So, it was a good morning and I hope I feel good for the rest of the day today!!! :) I'm SOOOO looking forward to enjoying every minute of my weekend!!!!!

xoxo
Kim

  2. I've had to read your past week of posts and catch up, and am so glad to hear that the treatment is getting better for you. I think of you often, praying for strength and healing for you to get through this as smoothly and pain-free as possible. I hope it continues to get easier for you as each day passes. Maybe as your body adjusts to the treatment.(?) ((Big hugs)) Julie Werner

  3. Hi Kim, We haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet but hopefully we will soon. I am Dan's sister, Linda, the crazy one. I just want you to know that I have put you on my church's prayer chain so many are interceding for you daily. It says in the Bible that God loves you greater than the grains of sand on the earth. Now, I don't know about you, but I have been to the ocean and seen the beach and that just blows my mind! He created you and He has the power to heal you. I am believing that you will live a long and healthy life to see you beautiful kids graduate from high school, college and get married and give you grandchildren! I have seen Him heal people many times. When my daughter, Kelly was born, she wieghed 11 pounds and 8 ounses. This was before ultrasound and they had no idea she was so huge. It took 48 minutes after her head delivered to get her shoulders. She was dark, and never cried and I thought she was dead. They told us they didn't expect her to live, but she kept breathing. Then they said she would have brain damage and probably couldn't read or do math. Both of her arms were paralyzed and we had to do range of motion every 4 hours around the clock. We kept praying over her and she was a cheerleader all through junior high and high school and on the honor roll. Now she is the mother of 4 very beautiful kids. God is soooooo good. He is my best friend and we have long talks everyday. If you ever need anyone to come up and teach your kids how to TP, I would be willing to make the trip. I know my wonderful sister-in-law is taking good care of you. You are blessed to have such a wonderful Mom. I love her big bunches!. I have tried this several times, but maybe this time I can get this to post. I'm kinda old and don't understand this select profile stuff but I'm not going to give up easily. :o) Linda
